Accepting A Booking Request

What to know when a client sends you a booking request on DayOf.

By Genner, Head of User Support

When a client submits a booking request for your services, you have the option to accept or decline.

When you accept

  • A binding service contract (the Vendor Contract) is formed directly between you and the client.

  • DayOf is not a party to this contract.

  • The client's Initial Payment (50% of the booking total) is charged immediately.

  • The Final Payment (remaining 50%) will be charged automatically 14 days before the event.

  • DayOf retains 5% of the booking total as a platform fee, deducted from your payout.

What applies to the contract

If you and the client have not agreed to different terms, the DayOf Optional Vendor Contract Terms apply by default. You are free to agree to these in whole or in part, or negotiate different terms with the client, as long as all payments go through the platform.
